Buenos Aires Dresses Up for Christmas with a Full Program of Activities

Buenos Aires, Dec 8 (NA) – The City of Buenos Aires is getting festive to welcome Christmas with a wide range of activities for families, culture, and the holiday spirit starting this Monday, December 8.

The start of the Christmas season will be marked by the performance of the iconic "La Misa Criolla" by Ariel Ramírez, performed by artist Abel Pintos at Ciudad Universitaria, according to the Argentine News Agency.

Immersive Walks and Christmas Markets One of the main attractions will be the Christmas Walk, which will operate from December 18 to 21 at Plaza Sicilia, in the Palermo neighborhood. The proposal will offer an immersive experience: Light Garden: a surprising outdoor walk that combines light paths, bright installations, and artistic interventions, creating a magical universe. Christmas Market: a large space with typical seasonal products, gifts, and gastronomy. Symphony Concerts: traditional performances by the Camerata Bariloche and the Colon Theater's academic orchestra. Additionally, two popular and representative city markets, one in Belgrano (north) and another in San Nicolás, will also offer recreational and festive activities throughout the month.

Activities for Children and Santa Claus The "Christmas in the Plazas" initiative will kick off on December 13 with a wide range of recreational activities and workshops for the little ones to enjoy: Meet Santa Claus: Santa Claus will be available for photos with children and to receive their letters. Christmas Mailbox: a special space decorated with trees and assisted by an elf. Games and Workshops: the plazas will feature games like "mete gol," table tennis, and sitting football, as well as workshops on bells, carols, postcards, and Christmas decorations. Reading Camp: a space to share Christmas stories in a different and entertaining way. In parallel, open-air shopping centers will join the celebration with special lighting, raffles, discounts, and the presence of itinerant artists (circus performers, acrobats, stilt walkers) who will act as Santa's helpers inviting children to leave their messages.
